Other Department HODs actively visited the project exhibition. It was successfully organized by the mechanical project coordinator Mr. Brijesh Kumar Chaurasiya, Event Coordinator, Mr. Sunil Kumar Siwach, and all departments’ staff members, who encouraged the students for their active participation.
Our Department of Mechanical Engineering has always remained driven to provide an opportunity for scientists and engineers of coming years to present their creative and innovative engineering solutions. This project exhibition is the ideal platform for industries and national organizations to feel the pulse of the students and empower them in the field of innovation and technology. It aims at initiating their interest in entrepreneurial activities and encouraging young innovators to register for patents.
B.Tech students of Mechanical Engineering (ME) and other engineering students displayed the working models they had worked on, outside of class hours, to complete. Project work was conducted in BSAITM to overview the students’ knowledge regarding the subject.
Students had started their project work during the third semester onwards after getting due approval from the approval committee. Faculties were designated as project guides for every batch and were responsible for coordinating the students’ project activities. The projects were judged based on the students’ presentation, percentage of completion, real-world applicability, and originality. The students really made use of the opportunity to display their novel ideas.
We are proud of the fact that our college, in its endeavors, has laid a significant benchmark by exploring, initiating, and creating platforms that encourage students to give their best. Students from all departments of BSAITM displayed their genius, technical knowledge, and skills through this event. The total number of projects exhibited was 215. It patronized engineering students from different domains by providing them an opportunity to present their visions, thoughts, and ideas through this event for innovative development in the technical field.
Industry experts invited from various industries evaluated the project of the final year students. All the experts appreciated the work done by the students. Experts motivated the students to convert their projects into end products. Experts had given guidance to the students about their working model and suggested some changes to make it more viable and useful for society.
“Tech Park 2019 project exhibition was organized by all the departments of BSAITM on 5th April 2019. We had represented our work in the form of a demonstration of the running model in front of the internal and external panels of the evaluator. It was an excellent experience to demonstrate work in front of industry experts and the review panel. Their valuable suggestions have really remained very useful for us! We learned many things from them.” —4th-year students
“All the students had presented their work very effectively; some of the projects were really up to the noticeable mark and can be converted to an end product. Such kind of event motivates the students to learn by self-experience and engage in more of such innovative work. All the activities were organized in a very nice manner. The ideas could be seen taking the shape of projects, some of which were indeed very useful for the society. It is really a combination of theory and practical know-how. Students feel inspired largely by such kind of activities, and they should be organized every year”. —2nd and 3rd-year students.
“We have observed the projects made by final year students in project fair organized by BVM Engineering College on 30th March 2017. There were many eye-catching projects made by 4th-year students. We have gained many ideas, and they would be very useful to us in deciding on projects next year. We have also found a way to make the ideas to be implemented. Some of the ideas can also be extended at a larger scale.” —1st-year students
